			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>(WACO) – Texas Farm Bureau Friends of Agriculture Fund (AGFUND), Inc. has endorsed Dr. Greg Bonnen, a Republican from Friendswood, for election to Texas House District 24.</p>
<p>“Dr. Bonnen is a strong fiscal conservative who is committed to supporting Texas businesses, which are the lifeblood of our state’s economy. As a physician, he also brings practical experience and common sense to issues like health care and education,” said Texas Farm Bureau and AGFUND President Kenneth Dierschke. “His family is in the cattle business and he is familiar with agriculture issues. The citizens of House District 24 will be well represented with Dr. Bonnen serving them in Austin.”</p>
<p>Bonnen is a practicing neurosurgeon in Galveston County and he founded the Texas Brain and Spine Center. He also is chairman of the board for Houston Physician’s Hospital, which he helped found in 2003.</p>
<p>AGFUND is Texas Farm Bureau’s political action fund. It is a legal entity separate from the Texas Farm Bureau and may endorse and contribute to political candidates. AGFUND is funded by voluntary contributions from TFB members.<br />

One of the largest hospital associations in the country, the Texas Hospital Association represents more than 85 percent of the state’s hospitals and health care systems, which employ some 369,000 health care professionals statewide.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Texans for Fiscal Responsibility has endorsed Greg Bonnen in his 2012 campaign for the Texas House, District 24.</p>

<p>Bonnen is seeking the Republican nomination in the open-seat House District 24. The primary election is set for Tuesday, May 29.</p>
